An inspectable score

What the Foundwell scan measures

Foundwell business audit v2 checks how public website information is discovered, read and used. Its independent implementation draws on public Cloudflare, Vercel and Google guidance. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies, and its score is not their score.

Essential checks · 80 possible points

AI search crawler access: 12 points. Secure homepage and indexing/snippet permissions: 8. Meaningful server-returned content with one descriptive H1 and sequential headings: 12. Nonempty Markdown content negotiation with Vary: Accept: 12. Complete business JSON-LD: 12. A reachable, readable booking, quote, ordering or contact destination: 16. Correct missing-page status with Markdown recovery guidance: 8.

Business schema is checked for six fields: name, a same-domain URL, address/service area, contact, hours and description. A name alone earns one sixth of the schema points. Content structure and partial protocol support earn proportional credit. A link alone earns one quarter of the action points when its destination is not usable; blocked or failed requests remain unverified.

Recommended checks · 20 possible points

Sitemap with URL or child-sitemap entries: 3 points. Canonical URL, language and Open Graph metadata: 2. Service/menu/product information and decision details: 3. Direct phone, email or contact form: 2. Both location/service area and hours/appointment policy: 3. Reachable About, Contact and Privacy pages with at least 500 text characters: 3. Agent reading guide with identity, links and use guidance: 3. Explicit Content-Signal usage preferences: 1.

Some text and field checks are heuristics. Undetected details may exist on pages outside this bounded scan or appear after JavaScript runs. Owners should verify service details and factual consistency before implementation.

Optional interfaces are separate

We probe API Catalog, MCP server discovery, Agent Skills and ARD discovery documents. These are advanced capabilities that many local businesses do not need. Missing optional capabilities never reduce the business score. Detection is not a functional or security certification.

Markdown and an agent reading guide improve interoperability with supporting tools. Google says no special AI markup or AI text file is required for its AI search features. These are distinct benefits; missing Markdown does not establish search invisibility. Training restrictions are the owner's choice and never lower the crawler-access grade.

Scoring, coverage and labels

Score = round(100 × weighted points earned ÷ verified available points). Full passes earn their weight, partial results earn the stated fraction, and unknown checks are excluded. Reports show the verified check count and weighted coverage separately. Uncertainty never becomes an observed failure.

90–100 indicates strong agent readiness; 75–89 indicates material gaps; 50–74 indicates important improvements; below 50 indicates weak readiness. These are Foundwell checklist labels. When verified coverage is below 90%, the result is labelled a partial audit instead. Version 2 changes both the checks and scoring model; compare before and after results only within the same version.

Scope and evidence

The bounded scan reads public homepage HTML and headers, robots.txt, a root or declared same-domain sitemap, a Markdown homepage response, a unique missing path, /llms.txt and up to five linked service, customer-action and trust pages. Discovery probes use documented well-known paths. Requests use public-address DNS pinning, size limits and timeouts. No forms, bookings or purchases are submitted.

The scan does not run JavaScript, confirm every business fact, measure AI or Google rankings, inspect private analytics or predict revenue. Fetching a page from our server is not a test of every agent's network or browser. A blocked request is unverified, not proof that the business is invisible. Reports include version, timestamp, sources, evidence and proposed fixes.

From findings to the $149 Fix Kit

The free report explains every finding. The kit turns those findings into a prioritized implementation brief, owner-verified business facts, structured-data and agent-guide starters, Markdown and error-response instructions, trust/service page templates, and a verification checklist. Your owner or developer applies the changes and rescans with the same version.

The current prototype provides a personalized sample and optional launch-interest signup. No payment is taken. Some hosting and booking platforms limit protocol changes; review your platform before buying or implementing. A kit cannot guarantee rankings or make an external booking platform support new interfaces.
