AI agent traffic is growing fast. Here is the evidence.
The opportunity is worth taking seriously, but different reports measure different things. An AI training crawler, a visitor referred by an AI assistant, and an agent navigating a website are not interchangeable. Here is the evidence behind Foundwell’s growth message.
Daily AI agent requests: more than +1,700%
Cloudflare’s September 30, 2026 report says daily requests from AI agents on its network grew by more than 1,700% over the past year. That means more than 18 times the prior-year daily request volume. This is a current 2026 observation, not a forecast.
The figure describes requests on Cloudflare’s network, not unique agents, customers or sales. The comparison graphic indexes the prior-year baseline to 1 and shows 18 as a conservative lower bound. Two comparison values do not prove a perpetual exponential trend or the share of agents on your own site.
A useful conclusion for a business owner
Our inference is that it is sensible to prepare your public website for both AI discovery and agent navigation now. That means making the business legible and the next step usable, rather than assuming the traffic opportunity will reach you automatically.
The evidence does not prove perpetual exponential growth or guaranteed revenue. Foundwell uses the measured year-over-year change, with its source and scope, instead of presenting a forecast as fact.
Find the gaps you can control
You cannot control which answer an assistant generates. You can improve whether a public page loads, whether its business details are readable, and whether a customer has a clear path to contact, order or book.
Start with a free report. It gives you a documented first pass over your website’s observable signals, before you decide whether to use the implementation kit.
